About
I’m a final-year PhD Student at Rutgers University currently working on the design and development of machine learning and deep learning algorithms for solving problems in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. More specifically, my research focuses on self-supervised scene understanding, language understanding, multimodal models, conversational AI and bias evaluation in deep models. Before joining Rutgers, I obtained my B.Sc in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2016.

In my free time, I travel and think about how to use day-to-day experiences to solve AI problems!

-
At Apple Care's Business Intelligence team, I designed a transformer-based natural language understanding model to automatically summarize, connect and resolve Apple Care’s customer support issues enhancing issue resolution efficiency. In addition, I designed machine learning algorithms to measure impact and efficiency metrics within and across organizations and product lines and identify business insights useful for decision-makers.
-
At Dataminr, I designed and implemented a prototype for deep multi-modal unsupervised machine translation.
-
At Disney Research, I designed and developed a natural language understanding model for semantic parsing of textual scripts and automatic code generation, as well as a hierarchical deep neural model with self-attention for online dialogue topic modeling.
-
I’m also a reviewer and the program committee member of several AI journals and conferences and journals including ICLR, AAAI, AISTAT, ACL, EACL, TCSVT, WWW, etc.
I am always looking for exciting research and professional opportunities, so if you want to get in touch, please look at my contact page.
